Deposit and Payment

Portrait sessions must be paid in full at the time of booking. For any shoot priced over $1000, a 50% retainer must be paid to reserve your session. Following payment of the retainer, the balance of any fees due is to be paid no later than the day before the shoot. No photographs will be delivered until all payments due have been paid in full. Payments for add-ons such as additional photos can be made after your shoot.

Cancellation Policy

For clients who forfeit their session due to unforeseen travel circumstances like canceled flights, they will be refunded the full retail value with proof of travel cancellations. Clients wishing to cancel due to illness or schedule conflict may reschedule for a later date and can re-book at an agreeable day and time. Refunds will not be given unless the photographer needs to cancel.

Weather Policy

Photoshoots will be rescheduled in the event that there is severe weather in the area at the time of your shoot. Being that the weather is often unpredictable, we will wait up until 2-3 hours before your shoot to cancel. Many times, I have had clients cancel shoots the day before, only to have it not rain the following morning. In the event your photoshoot cannot take place, we will reschedule for another day. If you prefer to go ahead with your rainy day shoot or snow day shoot, that is an option as well.

*For clients in Southeast Asia, the rain passes quickly on the islands, typically the same time of day every day during the rainy season. Therefore, it is best to book in the mornings.

Late Arrival

Unfortunately, many clients are late, which has caused issues with scheduling. Please arrive on time. If you are late, your session will not be extended and the amount of photos you receive may be less than what you purchased due to your shoot time being less. Please get in touch with the photographer, letting them know you’re running late prior to your scheduled time. If you do not contact the photographer within 15 minutes of your scheduled shoot, you have forfeit your session. No exceptions.

Delivery

All clients receive their photos the same day of their shoot if their session is in the morning. If their session is in the afternoon or evening, they will receive their gallery late that night or the following morning. All photo galleries include basic editing (i.e., cropping, lighting adjustment, removing a stain off your clothes, etc.). I do not do retouching of any kind to the skin or reshaping the body. I’m highly against retouching people to look like something they’re not. I am a huge advocate for self-love and body positivity and try to photograph all of my clients to show their natural beauty.

Indemnification

The Photographer shall be held harmless for any and all injury to the Client during the course of the photography session and the immediately surrounding events. The photographer is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for their children and for themselves and release the photographer from any claims against their person or their business. Client(s) will be responsible for their pets and for themselves and release the photographer from any claims against their person or their business.

Failure to Perform

If the Photographer cannot perform this Agreement due to a fire or other casualty, or other cause beyond the control of the parties, or due to the Photographer’s illness, then the Photographer shall return the full payment to the Client but shall have no further liability with respect to the Agreement. This limitation on liability shall also apply in the event that photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera or computer malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged without fault on the part of the Photographer.  In the event the Photographer fails to perform for any other reason, the Photographer shall not be liable for any amount in excess of the retail value of the Client’s order. 

Model Release

The client gives permission to Planes & Pixels to use the images (or variations of the images) from their session for publication in advertising materials, websites, blogs, portfolios, or other promotional methods for Planes & Pixels without compensation for such. Planes & Pixels will not sell these images to any third party without additional consent from you.
